You Can’t Hide from Me
(How Do You Love the Unlovable? Part Four)
By: Stacy Wendell

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. This past week has been so encouraging for me.  I finally feel like the clouds are truly lifting.  By the grace of God I have been given the opportunity to start studies with the NY Theological Seminary. I am so excited.  Praise Him!  “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2Tim. 2:15

I promised I would get back to the study of unclean spirits. I always try to be a woman of my word, so this week I will touch on how to determine the presence of a demon.

The existence of evil can usually be determined in two ways. The first is discernment. Discernment is one of the spiritual gifts talked about in 1 Corinthians 12.  Webster’s Dictionary definition of discern is: “…to recognize as separate and different; to distinguish.” Discernment allows you to have wisdom of the presence of an unclean spirit. Detection is the second method. Detect is defined as: “To discover, perceive or find something as obscure.” Detection allows you to recognize the presence of evil by witnessing the changing behaviors and symptoms in a demonized person.  According to the book “Pigs in the Parlor” (available for purchase by clicking here) there are seven symptoms of a person being demonized.

- Emotional Problems: disturbances in the emotions which persist or recur. Example: hatred, anger, fear, resentment, depression

- Mental Problems: disturbances in the mind or thought life.

(Example: confusion, doubt, loss of memory, mental torment, procrastination)

-Speech Problems: Outbursts or uncontrolled use of the tongue.

(Example: cursing, blasphemy, criticism, mockery, gossip)

- Sex Problems: Recurring unclean thoughts and acts regarding sex.

(Example: masturbation, lust, fornication, adultery, incest, homosexuality)

- Addictions: The most common addictions are food, drugs, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine

- Physical Infirmities: sickness and disease

- Religious Error: cults, occult, witchcraft, false doctrine

Recognizing the presence of a demon is just the beginning of deliverance.  Next time I will touch on ways to receive deliverance from evil and demon possession. I wish I had the time to offer a more in depth view of this topic however I encourage anyone who would read this information to do their own research and study as the spirit guides and stay prayed up. I welcome your feedback Thank you for your prayers and your love.

Blessings,
Sista. Stacy
