My Call Narrative
By Stacy Wendell

I knew the hand of God was upon me early in my life. From day one the enemy was literally trying to take me out. I was born with Cerebral Palsy after having a stroke while I was still in the womb. In my infancy it was determined that I would have to use full leg braces on my legs that would have to be locked at all times. The doctors never thought I would be able to walk with out the assistance of some sort of device.

By the age of four, God performed a miracle and healed my body. After a week of revival and prayer my body was anointed with oil and shortly thereafter I took my first steps down the aisle of my church. You might say I was walking in to my destiny.

Life is a wonderful opportunity to take a journey. In my adult life I have managed to overcome many obstacles. I believe these experiences have prepared me for a more effective ministry. My journey has led me to this time and I know I am in the right place because it’s in my heart to serve the Lord. I have felt the anointing and presence of God on me for a long time but now the burden is so heavy upon me that I have no other choice but to surrender and accept The Call. “LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.” Psalm 15:1 A call, a call to worship, a call to praise, a call to service; an opportunity to embrace, utilize and share God given gifts and talents.

According to the survey of my spiritual gifts one of my dominant gifts is being a pastor, and also showing mercy and hospitality towards others. I don’t know where this road is going to lead, but I am keeping God first and I have faith that He will show me the way.

Blessings,

Sista Stacy
