What is in your Heart? Praise God from whom all blessings flow. This week has been a bit of a challenge for me. I have been dealing with disappointments. Sometimes people are not who they appear to be and that revelation is always painful. A person can only hide behind their mask for so long, eventually who they truly are will surface. What’s in your heart? When a person makes a commitment to serve the Lord it is important that they submit themselves to the perfect will of God. God wants us to live a righteous life. The definition of righteous is: characterized by or proceeding from accepted standards of morality or justice. That’s why the Bible says: "the...prayer of a righteous man availeth much" - James 5:16. Why is it so hard for some to be real? The only remedy for this particular disappointment is to pray and love. The devil is so busy; the only way to combat evil is with love. People will disappoint you; they are only human. God has promised us He will never leave us alone, so put your trust in God. A few weeks ago I wrote about “Distractions”, and disappointment is a distraction. A distraction is something that keeps you from your focus on serving the Lord. Continue to love those people that disappoint you, pray for them; but you must remain focused on Godly things. Be an example of what you want people to be. Remember, God is faithful! Thank you to everyone who has pledged their support to help us stay on the air at WFDU-FM. We still need those who have not pledged to lend a hand.
