Embrace Your Season!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Happy Summer everyone. I pray you are blessed by the magnificent warmth of the season. I am always happy to see the seasons change; it reminds me of life and the cycles we go through.

The seasons of life can be like the fall foliage, full of many bright colors many of which are unique to autumn; just as your circumstances may be unique to your situation. As the leaves fall and lose their vibrancy to give way to another season, it can be difficult to watch that which was once vibrant lose its brilliance. Take heart in knowing the seasons and the changes they bring are necessary to bring forth growth. The bitter cold of winter comes through to prepare the earth for spring; spring brings new life and the promise of God’s glory through many blooms. The newness of spring quickly welcomes the warmth of a summer sun and then as the relentless heat of summer mellows into the cool breezes of autumn to prepare the earth for its winter rest, we can simply say: thank you for the beauty of the seasons and the changes they bring. 

Life in its entire splendor can definitely send us some ponderous curve balls that will leave you saying “Oh my God, what was that?” Sometimes the people closest to you will hurt you and you must learn the sting of betrayal and the lesson of forgiveness.  Life is also full of joy like the birth of a new baby or the revelation of new love; it’s all part of the seasons of life. Embrace your season today and understand the process can be a blessing.
