Distractions
By Stacy Wendell

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I greet you with the joy of Jesus and a spirit of anticipation. The past few weeks have been a blessing and very busy. As we know 2008 is all about New Beginnings. So far, I have enjoyed the beginning of a few new journeys and the completion of some old journeys. (I touched on it last time; sometimes you have to let go to of old things to move forward.)

I am so excited about this new season. I feel God is truly in the midst. The bible says in Romans 12:1-2 “…by the mercies of God that you present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”  My mind has been renewed. My focus is clear.

It’s so easy to allow yourself to get caught up in the things of this world; those things are simply distractions geared to keep you from being focused on Godly living. As we go into this week I encourage you to examine your life and make an effort to recognize the distractions so that you may be freed of them in Jesus' name.  Anything that keeps you from God must be removed.

God is faithful to us, but are we faithful to God? What’s your distraction?  What keeps you from being focused?  Allow your mind to be renewed, your spirit to be encouraged and your focus on Godly living to be restored. Please pray with me and for me. Until we meet again, be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Blessings,

Sista Stacy
