A Gentle Reminder

Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I greet you with the joy of Jesus. It’s been a while since I have ventured to share my thoughts with you here on the site. I hope you all have enjoyed your summer so far. As we move into the end of the season and the start of the autumn of the year I pray God’s richest blessings upon each of you.

Lately, I have really tried to take time to reflect. I have so much to be thankful for. During the course of the last few weeks I have been given “Gentle Reminders” of God’s grace and favor in my life. The little things we take for granted everyday are such a blessing to behold and experience. These simple things are God’s “presents”. Life, Health, Vitality, Freedom, Mobility, Prosperity, Education, Sound Mind all of these things are gifts from above; Evidence of God’s favor and love in our life.

My heart aches for the people who have never known God’s love, or at least they don’t acknowledge it in their lives.  My heart aches for those who have known God’s love but have “fallen from grace” and chosen a path of unrighteousness. Few things are sadder than to visit someone who is locked away in the prison system because of lifestyle choices, or someone who is locked away in the prison of their own minds. It grieves my spirit to watch someone take life for granted and not make the most of each moment. Sometimes we don’t truly value things until they are taken away.  Each one of these gifts is precious.  We must continue to stay strong in our faith and embrace God’s will for our life so that we can not only enjoy His “presents” but His “presence”.

Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I keep you in mine.  We are still accepting submissions for the “Segement Suggestion Contest”. I have received a few good ones.  Thanks for the support, please keep the ideas coming! The winner will be revealed on Labor Day, September 1, 2008.
